Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce Invites you to 2 opportunities to visit China!

April 11th or 12th 2009. 

The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce will be conducting two trips to China with your choice of  dates April 11th or 12th  The 8-day trip includes round trip international air fare, 4 and 5 star hotel stays, three meals each day, Chinese governmental official banquets, deluxe bus tours, English speaking tour guides, admission tickets to all tourist spots and airport taxes throughout the trip.  There will be pick up and drop off from Pacific Grove in front of the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. 

Through a special partnership as a Pacific Grove Chamber member CITSLINC International, Inc., this experience is available to the public for the special price of $1,849 per person (double occupancy). 

Trip Highlights Include:

·          Trip to Shanghai and Suzhou including sightseeing of the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Hanshan Temple and the National Embroidery Institute

·          Sightseeing in Beijing including the Great Wall of China, Tian An Men Square, Ming Tombs, Palace Museum, Summer Palace, Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill

·          Traveling with other business leaders and Chamber members in an informal setting with experienced and knowledgeable guides

Day 1 San Francisco/Beijing

Board a convenient charter bus in the morning, and travel to San Francisco International Airport for an afternoon flight CA986 by 1:55pm to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.

Day 2 Beijing(King Wing Hotel/5-Star, 17 Dongsanhuan Rd. S., Tel: 86-10-67668866)  

Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 6:15pm. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. 

Day 3 Beijing

Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world, and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest Sightseeing also includes the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms, and the Summer Palace, known for many significance such as the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat.

 Day 4 Beijing

Tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Visit to the Ming Tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors' Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Roasted Beijing Duck Dinner. 

Day 5 Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou(Welth Center Hotel/4-Star, 938 Ganjiang Rd. E., 

Tel: 86-512-65229188) Morning flight CA1519 9:30am/11:30am to Shanghai, then take the tour bus trip to Suzhou. Evening Dinner Show of the traditional Chinese Music. 

Day 6  Suzhou/Hangzhou(Regal Hotel/5-Star, 370 Gym Rd., Tel: 86-571-56199999) 

Morning sightseeing to the centuries old Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple. Visit to the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Afternoon tour bus journey to Hangzhou. Visit to Economic Development Zone.  

Day 7 Hangzhou/Shanghai(Guangdong Hotel/5-Star, 328 Yixian Rd., Tel: 86-21-51171888)

Morning boat cruise on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses.  Visit to the centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha.

Afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai.                       

Day 8 Shanghai

Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Visit to the Bund, a famous waterfront park. Business visit to the Pudong economic development zone. 

Day 9 Shanghai/San Francisco

Depart by a morning flight to take a stopover at Beijing. Afternoon flight CA985 will depart by 5:15pm for San Francisco where you will arrive at 11:55am on the same day and return to your Chamber parking via bus.
